Destynee Morgan
MSW Intern
(Louisiana State University)
Destynee received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and Social Work with MSU Denver. She is currently working towards her Master’s in Social Work at Louisiana State University. When she’s not interning, Destynee works in the hospital helping patients and families get ready for cancer treatment and transplants. These experiences help Destynee bring warmth, compassion, and joy to otherwise painful and lonely experiences.
Destynee enjoys using evidence-based and person-centered treatment including CBT, MI, DBT, and TST with adolescents aged 10+ and adults. She has experience with clients with anxiety, depression, self- harm, suicidal ideation, PTSD, and stressful life changes. She is dedicated to helping clients work through their traumatic experiences, mental and physical health issues, family issues, and lifestyle issues. Destynee’s goal is to make sure her clients know that they can count on her when they feel they are alone. She also wants to help individuals work on their journey to better themselves and their lives.
Destynee is Colorado born and raised. She is the eldest of three and very family oriented. She has a pup named after Iron Man’s wife. If you can’t tell, she is a Marvel geek and could talk your ear off about the topic! Destynee loves going to Rockies games, exercising, listening to podcasts, going to concerts, and being with my friends and family. She is also a crime junkie and loves reading about the criminal justice system along with reform. Destynee loves doing research on social work-related topics and expanding her knowledge about social work and the criminal justice system.
