“Resiliency is grit, toughness, the ability to grow from challenging situations rather than crumble.”

— Danielle M. Patterson LCSW

At The Patterson Center for Resiliency PLLC, we believe that nobody gets out of this life for free. Life is hard, messy, and sometimes painful. We believe that all people are capable of rising from the ashes when given the right tools and support to do so. We are here to walk alongside you on your healing journey. You deserve a safe, caring, and non-judgmental place to become your best self.

We provide outpatient and intensive outpatient counseling services to both children (7+) and adults, individuals and families struggling with trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, and mood disorders. We use a strengths-based approach, believing that all people have inherent positive qualities and that all people are doing the best they can with the tools and understanding that they have.

We also use a systems approach, which  believes that both stress and growth do not happen in a vacuum. The systems in our lives (i.e. family, work, school, church, etc) may not have caused our hurts, but may be a key to our healing when they are also given the appropriate tools. No man is an island. We all need love, nurture, acceptance, and support.

Location

Our office is conveniently located near Academy Blvd and Lehman Boulevard. Parking is available on-site. Outpatient therapy is located downstairs (west entrance) while the after school program is located upstairs (east entrance). We encourage you to arrive about 5 minutes early to your appointment.

We offer telehealth appointments to meet your needs and your busy lifestyle. In-person visits are available on an extremely limited basis. We follow Colorado Springs School District 20 for closures related to snow or inclement weather.

Insurance and Payment

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to bill directly for CHP+, Medicaid (CCHA and Colorado Access), Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, United, Friday Health Plans, and Second Wind Fund. Please see our Provider page, as not all of our clinicians are able to accept all of our insurance plans. Treatment Options

At The Patterson Center for Resiliency, we believe that each person is unique and not all people respond to the same treatments. During your second session, you and your therapist will work together to tailor a treatment plan just for you. For many clients, we use a blend of different types of therapy.

We support emotionally-focused interventions that help you connect with your own emotions as well as others. Our methods are relational in nature, which research is showing helps support long-term recovery. We believe that hurts that happen in relationship must also be healed in relationship. This type of therapy can help you to feel safe again, or even for the first time, with others and within your own skin.

For parents, we encourage the use of a connected and attachment-based parenting approach, such as what you may find in Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to help you connect with your child’s underlying emotional needs, which will help improve behavior and your relationship together.

We offer both traditional weekly outpatient individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy, as well as more intensive services. For clients looking for more support than one hour a week, we are able to offer:

Some of the modalities we use include:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), MCBT (Mindfulness CBT), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT), CBT-E (Enhanced CBT)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and RO-DBT (Radically Open DBT)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Trauma Systems Therapy (TST)

We also incorporate experiential treatments, such as animal-assisted therapy, art, biofeedback, games, sand tray, and trauma-informed yoga.

If there is a treatment that you are looking for, please contact us. We are happy to explore treatment options with you and help connect you to the right person if needed.

We proudly serve clients across the state of Colorado including Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Pueblo, and everywhere in between!
